First, I placed this here, because the GLBT section might not give the opinions of normal straight people.

Background: We’re in our mid twenties.
I am very, very quiet and closeted about it, but I’m gay and probably trans. Most of my friends are women and those who know don’t have a problem with it. My friend, we’ll call her "J," seemed to be ok with it too. We’d known each other from college for years and she figured out I was gay. She asked and I told her how I was: wanting to be female, dressing/acting like one when I can, etc. She seemed fine with it. Showed her pictures of me as a female, she said "you make a good girl."

She invited me over to watch movies a bit ago; it was basically chick flicks. Things were going fine. She said she was going to change into sweatpants or something and did. Then I asked if I could put on a dress and be comfy too. I even made sure she knew it was no big deal if she said no. She said yeah and I was really quite happy with that. As far as I could tell she was ok with it too. I slept over with her and made us breakfast the next day.

Now she won’t return my calls or anything. I don’t understand. She knew I was gay and like that. Asked, making sure she knew it was no big deal if she said no, if I could wear it before I put on a dress…. I don’t know what I did to make her mad. I mean, I guess it could be the dress thing, but that doesn’t make sense, because she seemed fine with it.

I consider J a friend and don’t want to loose her.

I would appreciate any advice you might be willing to give. Thank you.
Destiny: Of course we can. I just wanted the advice of a different target audience that more closely matched J.
