Omg, that is horrible. If someone said that to me I would literally slap them in the face. I’m 19 and pregnant, but I look like I’m in my 20’s so people don’t generally stare. People are mean and have their own biased opinions. Ignore them, they’re stupid.

parenthood is really difficult, especially for kids who havent finished highschool

Because your 16 and are having a kid. But anybody that says that is a ton worse than a 16 year old whose pregnant.

People look at 16 year olds who are pregnant and what they see is a young girl who has been having sex, wasn’t smart enough to use protection, could have been exposed to an STD, who has probably cut short her education, who is going to be a drain on Society by needing subsidies, who won’t have the life experience to raise a child successfully.

That is what people see – a kid who wasn’t smart enough not to get pregnant.

Most people would hope that you wouldn’t reproduce, at least not yet – when you have a life-partner, a good education, a job, a stable home and some money saved – THEN it is time to have a baby.
